1) in the filter envelope window, velo -> time and velo -> amount can be set to positive or negative values.
but velo -> freq can only be set to a positive value.
to me it looks like a small omission. when using hipass filter for instance it would make sens to use negative values (in order to open the hipass for louder hits).
2) in the amp envelope window, velo->attack is a positive value. so louder hit = softer attack. musically it should work the other way around : louder hit = harder attack (shorter attack).
the addition of negative values would sort it out here also.
3) and at the end of the day, velo -> start could also do with negatives values. at the moment, softer hit = start point moved later.
the other way around was an old sampler trick, harder hit = start point later, used with a tiny silence at beginning of the sample, to simulate "human feel": soft hits would playback a bit later (laidback), hard hits playback instantly.
so is anybody up to request negative values ? for:
velo -> freq
velo->attack
velo -> start
i reckon it might not change the code space at all.
so it would be great if a few people request that, i know that if i am the only one requesting it, it will probably not be added.
for the people who use these features, what do you reckon ?
