hey all i recently stumbled across a bug wen i was sampling via my DIGITAL INS (this was with OS 5.16) i upgraded to OS 5.17 and its still there!
What happens is that i sample from my comp to the dig ins and when i go to trim mode and hit a pad the sample is in a lower pitch around -1~-1.50.
I found another couple but not so harmful bugs:
Where if u are in loop mode and u go into the JOINT screen hold a pad and push main the loop just plays forever after u release the pad!
There is also a RENAME bug, wen u rename a sample in CAPITAL letters then push enter, then go back and RENAME but change the name to LOWER CASE letter using the [A/a] button then save it no changes are saved!
this shit is fuc'd!!!
anyone else have these problems, please test it out and post a report.
Peace!

i have the same pitch problems both were in 5.16 and 5.17 i reported it and i gave jj my email address and their reponse was Since it is unreproducible, the bug of a report is uncorrectable....so i went back to 5.07 untill someone could help wit this matter....

That sux man.

Good looks on the bug tho. I'm not sure if usually use the onboard sampler to record samples. But this is just a workaround that you probably already know. If you've got a decent audio interface/soundcard, why dont you just sample into your computer as a wav file and then throw the wav sample into your 2500 over USB?

I rarely sample straight into my MPC and usually just send wav files over USB. I'm not a big fan of the onboard sampler to begin with because I think it sounds like crap. So I would imagine any decent interface with clean A-D converters would sound just a dry and flat as the onboard 2500 sampler.

i never had this problem in 5.12 and i use an Mbox2 as my sound card so i wonder whats wrong? i've sent JJ a bug report but i might send him another, something went wrong along the lines between 5.12 and 5.17! i always update via [WINDOW] and POWER ON, i might try again! i didnt check the audio in so i'll see what that does! hopefully it's fixed soon or i'll be sampling on my mac and sending it via usb.
Thanks for the replies guys!
Peace!

hey try and re install the os both ways, from the load screen or the power on and window button. that fixed my pitch problem that was the same as yours! although i'm now having a worse bug! http://www.mpc-forums.com/viewtopic.php?p=666502#666502
