GRID MODE???

I just installed jj 0s, Mainly to get the grid edit functions. I must be doing something wrong because I cant figure out how to move, erase and copy things in grid mode... I would really appreciate some step by step instructions. All I can do right now is to look at what Ive played, but I cant edit anything.
