do you PURGE? :)

anybody got issues with "PURGE" ?
my mp tends to freez a bit when I do that with JJ 4.66 , sometimes I get her back of the coma, after 2-3 minutes , but sometimes it just dies.
never had issues before on 3.06 or akai OS..

Do you get an error message?
I've never had freezes with 4.xx, but if you use a lot of small samples (like over 100) it sometimes takes (far) more than 2 or 3 minutes.
But I haven't purged so many samples for some time.

no error mesgs.. and I would purge like 80 samples at a time.
So if it is normal, I am cool with it.
I do not mind waiting..

as said it might be normal. but if you want to find out, purge the same stuff with JJ and with akai os and record the time. if it is faster with akai os then probably JJ can do something to speed it up.

yes i purged a couple hundred samples recently .. and had to just move to another project...while my mpc purged... it was lame.. it took like 20 minutes haha..
