Overlapping sample issues.

I've been getting real used to my mpc for the last month or so and have gotten a lot out of it except for one problem. Everytime I chop up samples and then distribute the chopped samples as a new program they work great and never overlap, they play for as long as they last or till you hit another pad. Great I save my progress and shut off my mpc, then load the program up the following day and it isn't the same. the samples and everything are chopped like i want them but they overlap after i hit another pad and they both play at the same time unlike the first time i chopped them. I always have to change them from one shot to note on which isn't what i want. I just want to hit a pad and then have it play till i hit another one and there is no overlap.
If you know a way around this please help me out yo, thanks.

mode/program -> params (f3) -> change "Play:POLY" to "Play:MONO" -> save program

might be what you're looking for.
oh, I still run 4.6X. the procedure may have changed in newer versions.

I tried but it didn't work, i'm using the 3.06 free JJ OS so i don't know if that would make a difference... ?

Try using a mute group-

Set all the pads to the same number group, it will cut out the previous sample when you hit a new one.

you probably changed your program from MONO to POLY
or you had them all assigned to a single mute group and turned that off

i think those are the only 2 possibilities

I had this problem too , you cant save the programs where the mpc automatically puts your chops . you have to create your own program and load the chops in your new program and everything should be good , its a bit of a pain but it will be worth it when u turn on your mpc and everything is exactly how it sounded when u left it . I have the 3.06 version as well , if this isnt clear send me a message and I will help you out !
