i use them lots, the reverb has a voice/character all of its own = valuable points, the delay is cool too, grungers shite tho', yeah really its all about the chorus, or delay or reverb really for me. ive a few processors, and i keep any that show an individual trait or two, and fair enough - you wouldnt expect much from an mpc's internal fx bus, but they can be put to some seriously good use, who cares if you want so-called 'sonic depth' i mean what is that anyway? youre using a 16bit 44.1khz pcm machine.....i think of sonic depth as an idea that would burn others out of the water, or a sound that cant be figured out - giving a unique feel to whats recorded. ive got 9khz/8bit material that sheeetz on much stuff done with sonic depth - in my view at least. so dont listen to that pseudo pro nonsense, go for originalty - hip hop for a start was built on rough cuts of rotten old music, and proved to take over the world.

we should probably be posting these in another topic because it's off topic but before i link us back to the spdif tracking subject-i don't like the fx either, but a high pass filter for filtering out the subs while tracking would be very usefull, so you'd not lose alot of valuable headroom when tracking.
there, now back to internally rendered tracks, anyone else feeling the sample accurate rendering, i think this would seriously change tracking on the mpc, making it - (A), all digital sound quality, (B) and most importantly, garuantee the feel of the mpc is'nt lost by dodgy syncing issues when tracking multiple passes, (c) depending on the rendering time, it could potentially be quicker. even if it was'nt, the advantages of (A) and (B) would be really worth it.
i've read somewhere up here a concern expressed it would take alot of drive space, but since your only doing this to import into your daw, you could delete it straight afterwards.
and, naughtily dipping a toe in the off topic subject of shiddy fx again losing a couple of them to make space in the o.s. code sounds like it would'nt be so unpopular. c'mon, peeps- we could have this if we get together on it and put it to jj!! javascript:emoticon(':twisted:')

yeah, i'd rather not get rid of the more complex fx = delay rvrb chorus phase shift, but stuf like bit grunger , tremolo [like i can do that in the lfo].
flying pan, 4band eq, i could lose easily.
