yep, i'm back :) here's my prob. I assigned several percussion samples to pads 1-8 on bank A. I then recorded a basic beat, so far all is well. I then went into bank D and assigned a bass guitar sample to pad 1 ...

this is where the trouble began...

when I went to play back my drum track, everytime the kick drum should play it was the bass guitar sample. I've double checked a few times to make sure the kick was in bank A and the bass guitar was in bank D and they were... ugh... im so confused right now :? thanks for your help

Uh, put the bass in a seperate program and a seperate track. Drums track one program 1, Bass track 2 program 2. I dont know, perhaps you recorded them on the same track with a Mono program?

did you made a new program with your mpc or did you load it? i sometimes had trouble with old pgms, just create a new one and assign the samples again.
check if the whole pgm is set to poly, and no simult pads are played too!
