Hey - Think there is a potential bug in the latest OS.I'll try and explain:

I use the Q-link tempo control feature a lot to emulate a record decks pitch control so i can sync the MPC live over a DJ set - worked a charm up until now.

1. Scroll to the tempo field in the main window and hit the window button

2. Set tempo change to off, Qlink 1 set to control tempo

3. Q link range L:95% H:105%

4. Now, back in the main screen - Qlink 1 does indeed control the tempo as expected...

So far so good right?

Now, in the mixer window especially in the effects send screen - when you change settings and alter send levels the tempo acts erratically - usually changing down to the slowest in the range...

This obviously leads to train wrecks in the mix as it knocks the MPC completely off kilter and out of sync with the DJ

Can anyone confirm this?? - Hope I have explained it ok

Confirmed.

The tempo jumps back to default (100%) by just entering mixer mode (you don't have to alter anything)

Report it.

i reported another one in 4.87. i had no time to check if it's gone now, but jj didn't mentioned it in the changelog:

1. if you set a sample to mute pad another sample (say a01 cuts off a02)
2. and record it (a01)
3. then mute the track and play the other sample (a02)
=> it gets cut off by a01, which is on a muted track.

this sucks if you recorded say a hihat pattern and mute it, to try another one.
i reported this one, but it's hard for me to explain...

it's the same problem with midi-tracks and pitch bend events. they play through muted tracks. even if you switch to another track and select the same midi-chanal or drum pgm.

if i mute a track, i want it to behave like it's been deleted. no information should be send from it!
