mpc + midi keyboard controller?

hey guys

sorta new to the jj os, and im trying to figure out how to control my mpc1000 externally from a midi keyboard.

im hoping to set up a few mellotron sample banks and store the wav's in the mpc, but control them from the external midi keyboard. is this possible?
