JJ OS 4.9X feature request sysex commands

As, we all know we use the MPC with different machines to accomplish our music goals. In my case i use it with a yamaha RS 7000. Unlike other machines the RS 7000 does not recieve PC messages like the odinary machine, where once u change the parten or tempo on the master the slave follows. Fortunatley they can sync (start stop, tempo) but i cant change the sequences(partens) on the RS 7000 using the MPC 1000. To do that i have to enter a CC Command in a parten using step edit on the MPC so it transmits a CC Command once the sequence is played. This bring about new quantize and sync challenges since the message is send after the parten has started and not when the play butten is hit like every other Sysex messages that is transmiitted when the play button is hit.

CAN JJ PLEASE REMOVE SOME FEATURES LIKE THE SS AND WHAT EVER ELSE AND CREATE A FIELD OR PAGE TO ENTER SYSEX OR PC COMMANDS SUCH AS THIS ONE (F0 43 7E 00 00 7F F7)TO ACCOMODATE THOSE OF US WHO WANT TO ENTER STRING COMMANDS AS SYSEX MESSAGES.

I can't really tell what you're asking for here. There's already multiple ways to send PC commands both in realtime and from the sequencer. It's true that the only way to generate sysex on the MPC is to use the sysex editor in step edit to insert the command, which I assume is what you are doing (or are you trying to record it from the 7000?). If you place the message at the beginning of the sequence then it should in fact send the message "when the play butten is hit like every other Sysex messages that is transmiitted when the play button is hit" -- unless you are sending too much sysex (and/or standard midi) at the beginning and clogging things up. If that's what's up, you could try using an extra bar at the beginning for all the sysex but that depends on how you are doing things (won't work with looping, obviously).

Are you looking for some kind of programmable realtime sysex send? If it's not going to be inserted or recorded in the sequencer you might as well just turn the knob or press the button on the 7000. The 1000 already has a lot of weird quirks dealing with different manufactures' sysex messages anyway so it's usually best to avoid it whenever possible.

BTW if dropping SS would open up any real amount of space for new features I'm sure it would have been gone long ago.
