what do i need to record vocals on the mpc 2000

A mixer or preamp that support condenser mics(with phantom power or dynamic mics(1/4 input). Connect mic to it then take the outs(mixer or preamp) the RECORD IN on your mpc2000. Keep in mind u wont be able to record vocals in realtime with the sequencer running. Basically u cant sample while the beat plays.
