yes you can send audio straight to the mpc. if you are using a turntable, you will need a phono preamp though.

Your question is worded a little weird, but I think I know what you're asking.

Maybe this scenario is similar to yours?

I often have my MPC drive my modular synth setup (or any other synth) and if I'm too lazy to hook things up to a mixer, I'll run the output of my synth into the MPC just so I can listen through the headphone jack, along with my drum tracks.

I'm sure there are many ways, but in JJOS1 I do the following:

-hook the outputs of my synth or other instrument to the record/input jacks on the back of the MPC.
-Go to the Mixer screen (Mode+Pad8).
-Select Input (F5) and turn input thru to ON

obviously adjust levels (using the Rec Input knob and/or the level adjustment)

Works well for me to do it this way. If you were asking something else, sorry.

You probably want to make sure you don't overdrive the hell out of your inputs either.

Have fun.

That sounds right. Yeah. I'm just trying to hear my synth through my mpc. I'll try it. Thanks again.

yep! and thats the best way to pull more sounds out of your synth 2... input thru and re-sampling w/filters and effects... the possiblities are endless and intirely up to the user.
