can't boot up on 4.95

Why when i switch on my MPC1000 with v 4.95 wont it boot up ? it was ok for three weeks.Now it just has '' MPC1000 (128MB instaled) " come up on the screen, and nothing elce happens. I managed to reinstall 4.95 from the flash card but still no change.
also ,what is "MPC1000 BootBlock Ver:1.03" all about ?

the file may have gotten corrupt while downloading it or saving it onto the flashcard... try downloading and installing 4.97 instead...

i'm thinking your ram chip might be loose.. try taking it out and putting it back in tightly... that might solve the issue. or also try booting it without the ram inside and see if it loads. do you have a hard drive installed?

I wiped the back off , and think my ram sits on a sprung board with "PS_133 SD 256M" written on it, but I'm a bit weary of touching the chips , I've heard it can mess them up . Any way I gave it a giggle and it seams secure, but I'm not to sure if its the right thing or how to get it out ! It has a 40 G drive in it could it be that ?

ok I took the ram out and the 40G hard drive out and still nothing , now what?
