sorry if this one's been answered, i've been in a coma.

will OS 2 open up OS 4.xx files and playback? i use the mpc on stage. i don't think i'd like to switch OS during a set to play older songs.

depends on the song, what you used, etc
i wouldn't risk it. i'd convert all os1 songs to loops/audiotracks etc and even reprogram some stuff to make it happen.

around here, country folk drive w/ bumper stickers that say

get r done in os1
start anew in os2

that would take days. i could make a new album by then.

but no one ever said show business was easy.

yeah there's no ideal situation, but the split - boot sweetens the deal a little bit.

i still have a couple projects that i've really lost steam over because i won't be able to use os2's new functions over.

i'm considering literally redoing them
but it sucks cuz 1 of those programs literally has more than two hundred and fifty wav sounds on it...phew
