how do I install this OS, do I do the same "window" technique or is there another way, because for some reason this doesn't work with any os on my mpc, including the akai ones...it just ends up booting normally. Help! Also, are there any new effects? I'm really just looking for like tempo synced delays, etc...thanks

Can someone help me?? I got blue MPC with an OS 1.03 (it's the old one as I understood) and I tried to upgrade from this version to version 3.05 but I had a system failure and now all my MPC is hooked up! It's tellin that "A correct OS file wasn't found. system halt..."

And what to do now?? I'm pissed cause I can't get my MPC started anymore! It asks for a CF with another OS!

this happened to me too, here's what I ended up doing:

- cleared out my CF card
- downloaded os version 4.10 (not 4.11) from akai site
- copied just the bin (iso) file
- held window and turned on mpc

it loaded fine, then after it loaded, I cleared the CF card again
and copied the 4.11 version, and it installed correctly

Just going to make these corrections because I think this thread is going to be spreading some confusion otherwise:

1. There is no JJos3. There is JJos1 v3.xx.

2. There is no Akai MPC1000 OS versions besides 1.xx and 2.xx. Anything else from Akai is for a different machine.

I had to check the akai site for a sec... I thought they put out an OS update... Then after I thought about it... i felt really dumb for thinking AKAI actually had an OS update...
