The Rm1x sequencer can do all the midi manipulation that the RS7000 can.
I had both (actually I still have the Rm1x and sold the RS7000 when I got the MPC1000)

This isn't maybe what you have in mind but you could resample loop(s)from the old sequence playing at the half tempo, and trigger them in the new one. If you sample them slower than you need em and patch phrase them this might give you a little bit more flexibility(cause you won't get the horrible gaps appearing). Then reset the patch phrasetempo to double what you orignally created it at.

This is kind of obvious and probably useless if you need to tweak the parameters properly and shift the timing of notes etc!

yeah thanks mikolo, but true - i need to have the data all free and event based, - just to get more going out of it, u see its only the backbone i needed, but its worked in the way explained above, and ive managed to augment it all well now.

it was just to get some old seq's into a new set, to build from...

but the pp's are an idea, i use them a lot - but ive been trying to limit myself to just small samples to maximise their use....

take care, thanks again
