What would make 1 pad cancell another beside mute groups?

I'm having a trouble with a few files where I can't hit 2 pads at once without one cancelling the other out. I have checked to make sure that mute groups are off. Anyone have an idea of what it may be?

your program play mode is set to "mono". change it to "poly". it should be in the top-right part of the screen in program mode... same screen you set mute groups.

Thanks Mike Feedback. I even checked the poly for individual pads, but I didn't realize there was a global control.

I usually set my hats program to mono....quick and nasty way of simulating open/close hat.

I could never get mute groups to work even though in principle it is simple.
