Hard Drive Problem

I bought this MPC-2500 about 2 weeks ago and managed to get a hold of a Hitachi Travelstar 80 gig hd.

The problem is that when fire up the MPC, and go to the load/save screen it says that my HD is full, I know this is not true. When I try creating a new folder in the HD on my mac, it allows me to do so, yet on the MPC it gives me a system error. What am I doing wrong?

try formatting it

Is there any specific format I should use when reformatting? Before I chose Mac OS Extended (Journaled).

ya, hit format on the mpc rather than the MAC. that should do the trick

select hard disk hard drive that thing you just installed

select format

think about it for a second or too take a coffee break

select do it


then await for manual for further instructions or seach mode
