no f'in joke. this is a must have for the future, that'd be soo nice.
meanwhile, have you hit mode in midi grid edit recently? look at the duration option...
i've been using this quite a bit. it's an undocumented feature addition as of now. not finished yet, i don't think the percentage actually does anything, but you can control duration while editing notes if you hit the AFTER key.

I think Q link>Note On>Duration would be cool for this type of thing:
1.You'd be able to hear what it ought to sound like when your hitting pads.
2.You'd be able to replicate tracks that use alternate loop samples when playing live.
3.It would be an interesting addition to the limited Amp Envelope control.
