Hey guys,

I have the latest version of JJ OS2 but I have gone back to OS1 because I have been unable to create a auto chromatic program.

I am slaving a Motif and I like the pads to be in 'correct' midi order when playing motif sounds. Previosuly I just created an auto chromatic program and assigned that to me midi tracks

Creating a chromatic program was easy in JJ OS1 but I think it has changed in OS2. Is this right?

Anyway I have checked the JJ manual and I still can't figure it out.

Can anyone show me the way?

and even on drum pgms u can do it easy

u dont need da chromatic pgm saved for it

go on pgm screen

f2 it to da amp screen and then just WINDOW it while u on the note field

then u can choose how u want the order to go chromatic or akai style

^ that's actually something similar but different, he's talking about scaling a sample.

you're talking about midi note assignment, but you got that under wraps. except the wacky default order isn't akai style, it's "general midi" which i have reserved a special place of hatred for in my heart. for me, a program's note order is either chromatic or it's simply not a program.

Nym is correct. In this case I am talking about note assignment.

Why did Akai make the default note order so screwed up? Geez!

Anyhow, I think my problem is solved. While using OS1 I had created an autoload with auto chromatic midi tracks.

I switched up to OS2 and the autoloaded setup seems to have maintained the chromatic stuff. Previosuly I had tried to create the auto chrom in OS2 from scratch and couldn't do it.

Sweet.

OS2 here we go.
