Resampling Problems, HELP!

So im running JJ OS 4.99 and whenever i try to resample through the main outs, my play backed version sounds compressed to the maximum and sounds nothing like the original. I realized that the EQ effect was doing this and it sounded normal when I took it off, but my friend can run all his effects and his resampling sounds perfectly fine. Anybody know how to run your effects without jacking up the finished version of the sample. [/b]

Yeah i already tried tht, its not the master level thts the problem its just the effects that i have on seem to be messing up the resampling but it shuldnt be doin this. Is there some kind of secret setting or smthin that might be causing this?

Make sure you switch of the effects after recording, or you will hear them applied twice..

yeah rinseout got you, just turn of the effects that you had applied already. although you can get some pretty dirty sounding drums by doing this. for example, resample a bit grudged kick drum, take that apply it to a pad with bit grudger on it, repeat this until you get what you want. nasty industrial sounds.

Oh haha wow yeah thanks guys, it workd, smtimes its the most simple things, also should u record ur stuff a lil louder when resampling?, because the signal is a lil weaker even after u resample

I didnt resample much in the mpc so far. tried it just now and youre right, the volume is little bit lower.
I compared the os versions, akai, os1 and os2.

The akai os as the os1 add(!) a gain of 2,98db
OS 2 reduces the gain by 5,45 db
(that is if i made no mistake...)
I expected to have no change at all, as that would preserve the information of the digital data best...

I´ll let JJ know.

yeh hopefully JJ can figure tht out becus im not buyin any more damn passwords when the Os's are still lacking haha
