I just copped OS2. I am feelin the work flow after just using it for 45minutes. One thing I noticed is that the swing setting that I make are not stayin. :? I will set it to say 1/16 swing 57% and when I change tracks the swing settings go back to a default of 1/16 50% swing. :?: Is there a default setting I need to cut off? I don't think I have to adjust swing for each track or nothing. Let me know what u can.

I am running JJ OS2 1.06.
1. Shift + F1 to go to TC
2. Personally I will F3 (Q-link set to control swing)
3. I will move Q-Link to make sure it works and changes the Swing percentage to what I am feelin.
4. F4 to close window and proceed to lay down drumz.
5. I repeat step 1 to go and check my swing percentage and it is back to Swing% 50

Everytime I close the window and return to the Timing Correct window it is always %50 no matter what I set it to before I close the window.

It does the samething whether I set it by Q-Link or set it using the data wheel.

Please keep in mind that I can hear the changes in the swing by ear. In other words the swing does work, but there is a bug with the percentage visually saying %50 everytime the window is reopened.

Hope this is clear. If it is not hit me back for more info.

be blessed,

P.S. I appreciate the The Fellowship of the 16Pads, the community has been real helpful 2 me as a whole since moving from software to MPC.

on os 1.07, i just checked this.

here is what i did.

1 - load pgm
2 - set TC = 1/8, 50% swing
3 - record performance.
4 - enter an EDIT mode. NOTE: all pads recorded accurately.
5 - as per FLOW4JC's report, set a Qlink to control SWING.
6 - record drums with swing set by Qlink
7 - enter an EDIT mode. NOTE: all pads are recorded accurately, with correct swing.

no problem there. however, i did find your bug. continue reading, the following will be my report:

1 - load pgm
2 - enter TC
3 - set SWING to a qlink. NOTE: moving qlink changes SWING display in TC screen.
4 - enter MAIN screen.
5 - move "swing qlink" to middle position (about 62%)
6 - RE-ENTER TC screen.
7 - display error: swing % reads "50%." until a qlink is moved, 50% swing is displayed erroneously.

--------------
end report. all you have to do is jog your qlink, and your actual swing will come back into view
it simply doesn't "re-update" until you've moved your qlink.

i had thought you were talking about a TC applied/not applied bug, which were squashed in the last couple os updates.

i will report this tonight
i'm working on this one, a bunch i've encountered, and hopefully 1waymusik's bug tonight.
