JJOS & MIDI Protocol...

Afternoon all,

Well... since i recently acquired a game boy and a copy of nanoloop i've been trying
to work out how to sync the GB to my MPC.

the very awesome little-scale ( http://little-scale.blogspot.com/ ) has kindly
offered to construct a sync device for me that will clock the GB to the MPC's MIDI clock.

I'm just wondering if anyone knows whether JJ's OS conforms to MIDI Protocol 100%.

i can't think of any reason why it wouldn't conform to MIDI standards...

i don't think any bugs have been reported that could lead one to believe
that MIDI functions incorrectly...

(excepting 1waymuzik's saga)

yeh its all over the nanoloop forums, that it wont slave to the mpc. sad isn't it. you'll have to use somthing else as the master source.

i am no way affiliated with that dude that made it, i just got stuck with the nick after my lust for nanoloop.

yeah i think that's with the cable that Oliver was selling...

little-scale has it syncing pretty well... so far.


he doesn't have an MPC though... so you might be right eh.

better check that...

I have lsdj but no sync cable, yet.

read post #18 about mpc1000, jjOS, and nanoloop syncing.

It says it does sync start but not sure about everything else staying in sync over the course of the song.

yeah it seems that the cable Oliver was selling may not work 100%

hopefully little-scale's design will work -- he's a brainy cat, so i'm
quietly confident.

check his blog for all sorts of insane DIY electronic biz...
