create a new folder & then select SAVE ENTIRE MEMORY when you save. that will save your fx settings & everything else. this is the best/easiest way to save when you're working. just make sure you use a new folder for each song you're working on or you'll overwrite your old stuff.

this relates to something i was thinking about requesting from JJ. currently, the way the OS works is:

"The effect settings will be saved with the ALL file, which is created when you save the data by selecting
SAVE ALL SEQS & SONGS."
(from the AKAI manual).

i think it makes more sense to have the effects under the control of & saved with the PROGRAM file. so when you switch programs you can switch the effects along with it. you could have radically different effects setting for each program and switch them on the fly. gives you more power and also i think it's a more logical way of organizing the OS.

what do people think?

They will have the same settings.
You can only use 2 effects at the same time. All your programs will be sent to these 2.
You can have different 'sets' of effects and it is possible to change which set you are using by programing into a sequence.
This is why the fx settings aren't saved with the program because you can have more than one program but only one set of effects at a time.

It's for the input thru settings
