Exploding Sequence work Around Request-jjos

possibly there isn't one, but outside of copying and erasing elements is there any? sorry for asking i'm not good with work arounds, (wish jj would make a command for this)

this exists in SEQ edit
EDIT: COPY or EDIT: MOVE your selected pads from the track you want exploded.

move is recommended: say you have TRACK 01, a drum track, with a kick, snare, hi hat, and ride sample sequenced in the same track.

you can MOVE your snare pad(s) to track 2
MOVE your hats to track 3
and finally MOVE your rides to track 4.

far quicker than copying/deleting.

I hate programming my drums on separate tracks, but in the event that I needed them isolated this is a great to know, thanks

I've only ever needed to do a few specific things in the sequence edit screen, so I haven't explored all of the features. (And as much as I stress reading the manual, I'll confess that I've never actually read more than a few pages of it )

while seq edit has been unimproved by jj, it is still a very powerful sequencing tool
it sure could use a couple extra simple functions, but it comes in handy.

i also dislike having my drums on separate tracks. it makes grid editing totally unhelpful, to me, and now that i'm spoiled with MGE i can't bear to go back to step edit. in general i need/like to see my notes in relation to one another, it helps me auralize the composition and hear into the future if that isn't ridiculous

i haven't explored all the features either. i'm not very good with pad pattern because i'm not a huge fan of 6grid or 16 grid ever since i got MGE. only recently have i started working with audiotracks after seeing the whole tempo change qlink thing and having a small fit over how cool it was.

i like having a lot to learn on this thing still
it's reassuring
