why is the AMP Attack set to 3 by default? it sucks! can i change the default setting somehow...?

to remove any clicks that maybe be on poorly chopped samples, i'd assume. It was like on the xl when you "chop" if offered to fade the last 30ms to reduce the chance of samples clicking. i could be wrong.

best way would be to "whole" the "attack" field, and save that blank altered pgm as a default autoload.

yes sure, but it seems a bit too much for sounds that have very snappy attack on purpose... autoload is a good idea, though you need to remember have always the CF insterted when booting.

i appreciate the defaults, for the most part, but mostly because they're not applied onto the wav like they were in the akai os. THAT was "crossing the line." w/ the default 3 attack, i usually have no problem with inst pgms and some drums. however, kicks, snares and all subsamples always get turned down to 0 for me.
