CAN ANYONE TELL ME WHY THIS IS HAPPENINING???????? I WILL PLAY LIKE $ SECONDS OF MY SEQUENCE THEN THE MPC WILL JUST FREEZE IVE TRIED CHANGING OS THAT DIDNT HELP THERE IS NO MEMORY IN MY MPC SO IT CANT BE THAT....IS THERE ANY OTHER THING THAT COULD CAUSE THIS??????I HAVE THE BLACK MPC....BUT WHAT OTHER THINGS COULD HAVE CAUSED THIS PROBLEM?????CAN ANYONE HELP ME?????

Why everytime I go on these sites to get ansers from GURUS I always have to be knocked for my english/typing yea I messed up but im in a situation I need to get fixed....Its bugging me badly and I cant figure out why....Can anyone help me at all?????

When referring to "memory" that would be considered the RAM expansion. The CF card is not "memory". It's considered as "storage".
You don't have a CF card?

One more thing...

Take a look inside your CF reader to see if any of the pins are bent and touching one another. If so, then that's where your MPC is having a short circuit. Otherwise if everything else has been done so far, then there's a short somewhere else.

This is not a common thing. The 1000 has had several issues, but freezing up is not one of them. I know it sucks, but your best bet is to either take it or send it to an authorized Akai repair shop. As someone already stated, it's probably just a short somewhere, so it may not cost much to fix. Good luck, and let us know what happens.

GUESS WHAT GUYSSS.....I actuall figured it out....On my midi box there is a button that u push in for usb or push again for midi thru...and the box was set to midi thru instead of usb...

Glad to see you were persistant in troubleshooting the matter. This is probably the first time I've seen that happen to anyone. It's a good thing that you let us know what the problem was, so if someone else needs to know, they can find the answer here. :)

BTW, what midi box are you using?
