Hey. I sampled something, and chopped it & assigned it to pads 1-4.

It's great, I 1, 2, 3, 4 and they all lilne up perfectly. But I want to shorten the sample sometimes, for variety. for instance, i want to hit pad 1, and before that samples done (maybe half way through), i hit pad 2. and i want pad 1 to stop playing when i hit pad 2.

instead, the end of 1 just overlaps with the beginning of 2 and it sounds like blaaa. im sure theres an easy option perhaps in the program menu? i toyed with a couple options but couldnt figure it out.

thanks!

mute groups, when your looking at the program screen look for parameters or PARAMS is what it says (press f3) Go down to mute group, change it from off to 1 or any number, as long as each pad has the same number they will cut each other off, also if you don't want a pad to overlap itself change the Voice overlap setting from poly to mono

or even easier just change the entire program to MONO in the top right of the params screen

just an alternative use note off, and modulate the start point via velocity, and turn off the velocity>volume modulation.
