JJ OS Free Version...assign Sample to pads.

Please, I want help but don't be harsh on me, just answer the question for me. Ok, I know on the Akai OS when you're loading files/samples you can assign to the pads right there...(press the pad you want the sound on and press do it) BUT ON this new JJ OS free version when I load a sample and press the do it...It will not let you assign to a pad before you can press do it, it just loads up and I dont know where it goes once I get to the main window and go searching for it through the programs. I know you can go to the Program mode and assign sample there but that takes so much more time and doesnt help my workflow. Can anyone suggest any solutions? I would love to be able to assign to pad right there in the loading folder.

there is an option in the load screen to enable 'assign to pad on load' on/off

You might have to press WINDOW while in the load screen

Yes this is correct I just tried it. It actually lets you see all the assigned sounds to each pad also.
