I am attempting to create default track names for my MPC different from the default "Track##" format, but after rebooting, my custom names are lost. Anyone know if I am doing something wrong, or if this is a known issue?

My steps:

1. From "Main", select a track name and press "Window".
2. Cursor down to the default name and change it to a different name, for example, "BASS1".
3. When finished entering the new name, select "ENTER" (F6), then CLOSE (F4).
4. To attempt to save this into my memory, I went to "Save" and saved the Entire Memory as an Autoload to the hard disk. (This doesn't seem to be saving global settings, however.)

Any clues?

It has never worked for me. Also never worked is the note numbers you assign to pads. They are both supposed to work. I can't understand why these things have not been fixed. Not because you can't make music like this, but what about the pride a programmer takes in his work?

Yeah, the function is purely cosmetic, but I wish it would work. Anyone know if this is fixed in OS2?

Also, I found the function described in the JJOS manual and it says when you press "Main" it should save the track default names along with a few other things. The last thing I know to try is to reformat my hard drive and cards with the OS installed.
