Q: I've just installed the JJ OS and the MPC behaves weird. What can I do?
A: Reset the MPC to factory defaults: Turn off your MPC, hold [ERASE], turn it on.

Also: make sure to format the HDD & CF Card after changing from AKAI to JJ OS in order to avoid Directory Errors

Steezy Stan good looks on the fast reply...

I'm holding down erase and turning the power on (while still holding erase) but nothing happens... It just turns on and the cursor starts jumping all over the place.

Also, not sure how to format hdd and cf card. Could you post link of the thread or just add instructions. It would be much appreciated.

2nd hand.... I think I got it working again though... I just deleted the JJ version off my CF card and than copied and loaded it again and it seems to be working fine..

Hopefully this fixed it for good

Yeah dude it's shorting out. You have to go in there and tighten up any loose screws (especially that one near the pad bank) and/or cover up any metal parts that aren't supposed to be making contact with each other.
