audio import in jjos2?

whats the easiset way to do this? what format/bits should be used? can i connect a external usb drive and import from that? or does i have to import from a computer?
can prewiew be done?
i`ve just updated to jjos2.. havent got the codes yet so im laying low..

you can connect an internal drive with the kit, but no external drives

If you're asking these questions after this much time on the boards, I think you should consider going back to your previous os and forget about jj os 2 for now and buy http://www.mpc-samples.com/product.php/ ... e-mpc1000/ first.

I replied to the questions as best I could without understanding what was trying to be asked, and I suggested he stick with what he's got. What is not real advice about suggesting he stick with his previous OS and spend the money instead on a guide to show him how to use the machine? JJ OS 2 isn't some miracle update, if you don't know how to use the machine to begin with it certainly doesn't help there.

Sorry for coming across as rude in the previous post, but I was just trying to help out.

All of those questions are basic in-the-manual stuff that isn't even specific to JJ. They've also been asked a billion times on here and can be easily found with a search or glance through the archive.

but... homeboy DID answer most the questions : mode>load, 16bit44kHz, etc... the 'preview' i think the original question asked was probably meant : if one was to load a sample and put it on a pad to play it, can you hear it first...? if i remember correctly os1 and os2 file load is similiar...but its been so long since i tried goin back to os1....

i`ve used it as master for my other machines, havent really been using audiofiles/audio for some time.
mpc1000 is great as a center for all my drummachines and synths. but after listening on all my old reaktor audio files, i will start using it for audio as well..
