Pad Triggers not as good in JJ OS

Hi,
I have just bought an MPC1000BK so am a newbie. I have just upgraded to JJ OS 1 but I have noticed that the pads aren't as responsive as when the Akai OS is installed. I even reverted back to Akai OS to test and sure enough they were back to playing a lot better. Basically with JJ OS installed, the pads don't seem to trigger as well, the samples playback glitchy sometimes or appear to misfire, even with Full Level button selected.
I have searched the forum to see if anyone else mentions this but can't find anything. Any more info much appreciated as really want to stay with JJ OS!

we don't know which jjos you're using, but i'm going to assume it's jjos1.

***Notes***
Those who exchanged the pad for a new pad or are using MPC1000 BK-N need to adjust pad sensitivity first.

in addition to what nym said, JJos2 has really good pad sensitivity options - (i cant remember what JJos1's pad options are i've not really gone back to it since upgrading).


seriously, stick with the JJ.

Thanks for the help, I have JJ OS1 and have managed to get triggers behaving better using a mix of Pad Sensitivity and Threshold Level. Might upgrade to OS2 as it seems like pad triggers are even tighter sounding.

using jjos2's calibraion software and my own silicone mod to the akai FSR pad fix, i've gotten sensitivity and performance control equal to the best of any rubber pad-based controller i've ever used, that being the padkontrol

i wish my girlfriend had a silicon mod..
