Ok, so I just got a MPC 2500 and loaded JJ OS1 and I'm browsing through the different programs but when I scroll I only see the sounds loaded onto the intern memory. How would I go about using the sound in my CF card. I tried to do a Mode + Pad 2 and hit load and choose the cf card but still cant get the program to see the sounds on the cf card. I read the JJ OS 1 manual but I dont see anything related to this. Woud I need to make a program, how would i do that and have it to use the sounds from the CF card.

Thanks

Are the sounds on your card 16bit 44.1 .wav files?

Its a Akai's library cf card that came with the mpc 2500 and from what I see the files are .wav. I just dont know how to get the program to switch onto the cf card sounds, when I scroll onto the different programs all I see is the internal sounds. Would I need to make a .pgm from the sounds on cf card and how would i go about doing that.

Thanks.

That factory card has Programs for the sounds already.
When you hit load on the MPC
You can load either a .pgm, .wav or sequence files.

If you load a .pgm (program) all the samples connected to the program will load

If you load a sample (.wav) The MPC will give you the option to assign it to any one of the 64 pads on banks A-D to create a new .pgm (program).

When you hit Mode+Load(pad2) make sure and scroll to load from the memory card.
The 2500 lets you load from:
Hard Drive
CD
Memory Card

Also remember that your Factory CF has the Internal sounds on it also.

You popped the card out, then put it back in, while on the load card screen to make it work, huh?
I used to have that problem.
