(Note to mods : I have posted this in the MPC1000 JJOS forum too - i do not mean to spamthe board, but there is no specific "JJOS" forum and this ought to be of interest to both 1000 and 2500 owners)

Hi people,

I knocked up a little utility for myself last night and thought I'd share it with you guys.

Basically, what it does is create .MPD (for MPD-16) and .PRG files (for MPCs running JJOS) but whats useful is it can assign either chromatically or using a scale starting from the note number you specify, allowing you to play MIDI notes using the MPC/MPD more melodically (as it misses out the notes you dont need)

Download here : http://www.zshare.net/download/19101308f0bcd49c/ (for PC only) NEW LINK - Update with JJOS v1 support!

I'll probably update the program soon to add a few more scales. If you have any suggestions, let me know. The program is donationware, so if you like and use it please consider throwing me a couple bucks (see the about box), cheers.

Enjoy!

Link updated, check the first post. Program now supports saving as JJOS v1 PRGs.

mpc2k8 - do you use your MPC to sequence external synths or VSTs using your MPC? If not, this isn't for you.

Otherwise, just load up the PRGs you create with this prog, set the midi out channel for the track and hit the pads!
