Hey guys n girls,

I got ONE bass-sample and want to play it chromtically.
In JJOS1 there is the function "auto chromatic assign" to do this but is there a possibilty to do this in JJOS2?
Like I understand I can use the "musical instrument program" but I think this is primary for playing an external Synth, multisamples e.g. (Pad A1 is note C1, A2 is not C1#, A3 is note D1,...).
But when I want to sample ONE bass-tone and lay it chromtically on the pads this function isn't useful, isn't it?

The comparison chart of JJOS says:
Auto Chromatic Assignment (JJOS1: point ; JJOS2: x)
Program for Musical Instruments (JJOS1: x ; JJOS2: point)

Does it mean that it is impossible to do what I described?????????

Thanks for your replies!!! Stephunk

You can always bust the old school MPC 16 Levels (tune) trick.

I was just going to say that le rat... I'd say Instrument is way better than chromatic assign, because you can very quickly add other notes/layers in the instrument. In chromatic mode you're back to doing each note by hand if you ever need to make a change.
