JJOS - So So Confusing - Do I Upgrade from Akai OS?

Hi.

Im on Akai OS 2.11. Many people have told me to upgrade to the JJOS but im not sure.

Is it more stable than the Akai OS?

I have problems with the Akai OS such as long samples stopping before they have finished because of the use of lots of notes in a sequence and i want to be able to route the click to a separate output. . .

All the comparisons, manuals, explanations, versions, downloads is confusing the hell out of me.

I have looked at the comparison table and it looks like there is one OS that has it all basically but ive been a MPC user for years and wonder how hard it will be to change over.

I looked at the screen shots and i couldnt see the Timing Correction/Swing anywhere. . .

Any advice would be appreciated. ..

yeah man, you just download that OS and try it for free, if you doan like it just re-load the AKAI OS.

JJOS isnt really that confusing, and there is tons of excellent FAQ and documentation available to help get you up to speed here, and at jj's site...

try it, maybe you'll like it...

Hey looks can be deciving. It is not hard at all. After a little while of toying around with the JJ's os I promise you will grow to love it some things ard in different places, that is okay. But after a month with the new os you will forget about the old one, change is hard, but when you us the new os you will forget the old one. It's os is way better. Your machine and brain will thank you. I remember before i made the switch i had the same thoughts. But it is easier to move around and it makes more sents. You can get more things done in screen and a click of a botton. Make the swith in two days you will really see why. just do it....

as was said above, try out the free version and see if you like it. I did and even though I was used to the akai OS I found JJ to be easy to use and it made working on stuff more fun.
