I am having a midi problem with my mpc1000 with JJ

So my midi setup is as follows


mpc out 1 virus b
mpc out 2 kawai k3
virus through to dp/4
mpc in 1 kawai k3

i use my kawai k3 as my midi controller for my virus and mpc

everything works fine but for some reason when i am trying to play my kawai k3 and the channel my mpc is on is accepting midi messages... it makes samples on my mpc stop playing... i believe its only when i hit a c but i am not sure...

my setting on the mpc are set to recieve midi input as track...

hopefully this is enough info and if not i will be happy to clarify more.. please even if you have a guess i would appreciate your input. thanks before hand.

i always leave recieve to all on the mpc and then out "as track" i'm thinking maybe you're trying to play your synth while you are on the track that your samples are on. if this is the case then you may be triggering something in your program that would stop sample playback. If you trigger an empty pad in a program that is set to mono for example, your current sample will stop. all you gotta do is switch to a different track without a program on it to play the synth.

this is all based on an assumption that might be wrong, but let me know if this gets you close

i was goign along the same logic as you before i posted... that is not the case... thanks for the reply... let me tell you my settings so maybe you can help me further...

active track revieve there is no (as track) i leave it to all channels
but my soft through is set to as track

i always have it on a program that does not have samples. and

as far as the mono programs i am well familiar but still am having no luck. thanks and if you have any other ideas please let me know... i appreciate the help

did you fix this problem ?? this problem is killing me
my synth stops lot of samples when i play it , even
if theres no pgm , and the tracks midi channel is set to off.
i have tried lot of different things , and nothing helps.

have you tried this with akai os´s ??
