About to buy a used MPC1000 ... don't think it has the JJ OS installed.

How easy is it to install the software ... any thing that I should do before undertaking the install ?

wicked easy. scroll and select it to load it. make sure you format your card or hd first. back up your important stuff (although, since you're buying one new the backup shouldn't be much of a factor is suppose..)

Some corrections: If you switching over from an AKAI OS, you can only install JJ-OS from the CF Card, because the AKAI OS cannot handle .bin and .os2 files! Once JJ OS is installed, then you can install further updates or JJ OS 2 from the load menu of the MPC.
