I just bought the MPC 2500 tutorial and have been going through it. I've never seen or used JJ OS in real life yet.

The MPC tutorial states that the MPC OS should be Akai's v 1.24. If I installed JJ OS's latest OS2 would this cause any issues when I'm going over the tutorial's steps?

Yes it would - while using the tutorial I’d definitely recommend sticking to the Akai OS as that is what the tutorial is intended for.

However, once you are familiar with your MPC I'd defiantly recommend that you upgrade the OS. Get to grips with the free JJOS (which is very similar to the Akai OS but with a few additions that will make your workflow much quicker and easier), then OS1 and then 2. You might fry your brain if you jump straight in to OS2
