When the OS is stored insie a flash/eprom it could be that the max lifecycle is hit some time.

yes but lyfecycle for such devices is counted on thousands of cycles... i wouldn't be affraid of such thing

If you want to be cutting edge... You do get to find all the new bugs before anyone else

I'd skipped nearly 20 updates until the recent addition of Reverse in Trim.

Sorry, but how much costs JJ OS XL (i have MPC 2500 LE) summaricaly? How much should i spend? Direct record when playing rocks.
