Rendering audio, is this possible?

it would be really really cool if this could be implemented in any future os...

like bouncing a track to wav or whatever? that would be cool, it'd bounce a track of whatever seq you were working on to wav for achival/quick tracking purposes.

i think this should be possible since you can already record the main out, it just has to be automated somehow...

This would be really great to have.

remember that we have 128 megs of ram max (i'd say only, but well that'd be rediculous)

so we wouldn't be able to render down huuuge sequences track by track as each file would be like 20 megs and you'd rapidly run out of space.

but for 8 bar tracks etc it'd be very convenient to have an automated "render" or "Bounce" feature instead of just going into resample every time

i probably wouldn't use it much and wouldrather see other things but i def would'nt complain about it.

^^^ It would actually be possible, as long as each track wasn't bigger than 128 MB, with the right process it could render each track seperately and dump it straight to the HD or Memory Card as a wav. This would be a **** awesome feature. You could just set it going (even if it took 10 mins) and then transport over USB and import all the tracks into your DAW. No tracking, brilliant!

Yes brilliant. This might also make sure the sound quality stays the same, as opposed to recording into the software via outs.

wow, M02. that "dump to HD or "MEM CARD" idea is pretty damn great, man.

hmm.. i think 1 track (for instance only hats) would be like 20 to 30 MB in .wav format(for about 3 tot 4 minutes).. so you could do like 5 or 6 tracks at a time with 128 MB..

is that really worth it since you can track 6 mono outputs at once?

6 at once is pretty difficult to do, depending on the quality of the weed

seriously though, you're right. it's a superfluous function, but it would be handy esp when you're at a friend's house jamming and want to track but he doesn't use any nice sound card...

or like i said before for quick 8 bar renders for mixups in ableton live or w/e

while it's a nice function, i'd rather see more functionality (liike the current qlink magic they're working on) get perfected.

I would like to see some more practical stuff.. clear memory without restart and stuff..

man i'm wasted off of 1 blunt regardless. i am VERY sensitive to...well, everything. caffeine, alcohol, pot.

as for clearing mem, there was a suggestion made that works quite well, load a blank project (title it CLEARMEM) and you can load that while hitting CLEAR and that should get rid evrything in your ram.

isn`t that what the audio tracks do ?

i.e grouping/ soloing midi sequenced tracks to record onto an audio track is like rendering audio isn`t it... ?

this is by far the best idea for the new os i ever read about...this would be awesome.

automaticly resample a track, save it to hd, move to the next track aso...that would be sooo great!!!!!!!!
