I still wish I could assign a CC channel to the PLAY/STOP/REC buttons so I could control the Sequencer from my Axiom-61

What do you mean? play/stop/ffwd/rewind are standard MIDI messages (transport controls & song position pointers) - see if you can program Axiom to send them. Or is there a problem with MPC1000 receiving these messages over MIDI?

there's no clock in the axiom so it can't send mmc message or midiclock.
cubase or protools can remote the mpc for thoses actions.

So you want to be able to record a midi sequence with the mpc to tell the Axiom to play it? You can. I got a axiom61 and that's what I do.

Nah, I can already do that. I want the Axiom to be able to tell the MPC when to start recording using the transport buttons. I've yet to figure it out and it doesn't seem like it should be too hard

And my bad, it's actually an Oxygen-61 haha :oops: but the specs say it can do MIDI Machine Control. All the knobs and buttons are marked and stop, play, and rec are 'C32' 'C33' and 'C34' respectively, but how do I get the MPC to accept these?

What am I missing here?

read the link i posted, it explains that MMC messages are actually sysex messages, not CCs. if you can customise the oxygen to send sysex, you're laughing.

What would be ideal is if JJ could implement MMC in such a way that I could use my sliders and whatnot to adjust things on the main screen, like tempo or the velocity %, or change sequences and tracks with buttons. I'm gonna look into the Sysex thing but it seems like a longshot. If it were able to do it why wouldn't they have just assigned these values to the buttons in the first place?

i'm not entirely sure why.

as for adjusting things on the main screen with slider etc.:

OS memory has filled.
Only 896Kbytes can be written in although it thought that
there was 960Kbytes of memory area for OS.
This caused the trouble of OS V4.52 writing.

It became impossible therefore, to add a big function more.
A small change, an addition, and correction of a bug are continued from now on.

1.GAME deleted.
2.MIDI IN ==> Q-LINK became impossible.
