I hope JJ bring with OS2 Ping Pong back? :)

But I don't agree with the update policy. I think users who already paid for JJ OS 1 sould pay less like it's common everywhere else in the software biz. It's unfair because we already paid 30 bucks and did all the bug testing and helped to improve the OS in terms of functionality and stuff

Yes, because On the JJ Website i read the big text
Update is no charge

Source: http://www7a.biglobe.ne.jp/~mpc1000/paypal/

Update from OS1->OS2 should be free (or cheaper for OS1 User)

>> The text you quoted above refers to updated builds of JJ-OS 1 which are free of charge (of course) but it refers NOT to updating from OS 1 to OS 2... just to set it straight!

<<<<<<<< Information >>>>>>>>
OS memory has filled.
Only 896Kbytes can be written in although it thought that
there was 960Kbytes of memory area for OS.
This caused the trouble of OS V4.52 writing.

It became impossible therefore, to add a big function more.
A small change, an addition, and correction of a bug are continued from now on.

1.GAME deleted.
2.MIDI IN ==> Q-LINK became impossible

$$$$$$$$
NuKai is one smart company.....they figured out a great way for customers to pay for further development and testing of future operating systems. A win-win situation for all.

...why did the air suddenly smell foul in here?

edit: mkl... - we don't know for sure if filter2 is taken off. note that we don't see the "filter" page in GPE. it is possible that only the first filter has ADSR. at this point we just can't tell.

also, jj has expressed interest and concern in keeping with reverse compatibility, "otherwise a claim occurs." for that reason, i think taking out one of the 2 filters would not be something he would readily do.

valentin - the additional CHOP feature uses the same sample, does not create a bunch more.

x3. The man works soooo hard on this stuff. Lets keep funding him so he can keep making our production lives easier and more advanced.

I don't see how any program made in OS 2 using the non-destructive chops could be compatible with OS 1.

Maybe somewhat compatible, but every pad would just play the same sample.

It sounds like you'll still need to get v1 to upgrade to v2, so you might as well cop v1 now...

To me $39 is well worth the non-destructive chopping alone. I've always wanted that. $39 for that, and all the other stuff, it's like getting a new sampler engine in our mps for the cost of a little bag of weed. If you don't want to pay, then stick with v1 or the free version. Nothings being forced here.

Give JJ the respect he deserves!

well point taken. i am testing the free version currently. I i have to get the paid version 1 before i upgrade then i guess that is what i would have to do.

Looks like Chops can be overlaping!! Nice

hello?
he's talking about backward compatibility, obviously...

to all the people already complaining about features missing, for christ sake, at least wait for the first public release!

and considering this looks like a completely new "product" from JJ, why should he give it away for free? If you think $39 is too much for what you get, well, don't buy it!

"reverse compatibility" seemed to mean os2-to-os1 to me is why i said that

os2 being backwards compatible with os1 files is a given though, I don't think JJ would expect anyone to upgrade to a new OS if they had to remake all their programs and sequences from scratch again

i suppose i could have reasoned that by reverse he meant backwards, as they are synonyms, but thats just not what i pictured

i hope the workflow for "CHOP" will be as fast as for SLICE.

By cynic Wed Nov 21, 2007 9:55 am
coming from hardware samplers like an emu ultra5000, i always found the mpc's sampling capabilities really limiting.

i like the new additions.........non destructive chop is hella tight.

Damn, I see jj will remove the filter 2. Shyt, cause I've always filtering my main vinyl samples with hi-pass filter to get low end away from my own basslines and then put a lo-pass to get hiss off.. only wack thing I've heard on os 2 :?
