i'm going to make os2xl videos. requests?

Changing my vote actually... I would like to see some cool sample looping in action! I need to work on this, and really enjoyed your other looping vid.

hey uh sample looping is about the simplest... just play with it.

cosign on the vst reaper connection...it would be awesome if you could show us how you use the midi cc vst programs in reaper, im having some trouble getting everything synced right.

You mean a list of features doesn't do that?

Actually I understand. I got wrapped up in the move to the new OS and was a little disappointed by the sheer number of minor bugs in the first release. There were a number of things that were ever so slightly broken, but you'd bump into them again and again. I think it wasn't until around XL 1.05 or 1.06 that I was really happy with it.

will you guys be happy with the camcorder's built in audio?
it has no audio input so the mic might be the best i can do
i don't have firewire on my computer so i can't record vid straight to the PC, otherwise i'd just use my regular soundcard

also, i guess this is more video specific but do you want it directly filming the screen or do you want it positioned so you can see everything?

I prefer to see everything if you can swing it. Also, slow down a bit and explain what's going on. At times you can just plow through stuff. The "Divide and Conquer" video was great, and has completely helped me devise my own slightly different method, but at first... It just went really fast... Personally, I have no interest in linking to computers, as I am hardware based, but anything that shows workflow and tips are always helpfull. I know that I have much to learn.

I think showing the screen of the MPC would be the priority, right? but if a wide view could show the whole surface of the MPC and screen legibly, that would be best case scenario

i doubt i could get good screen clarity on youtube with anything other than the screen taking up the entire picture.

i'll do a couple wide shots to demonstrate the hollowbook and my midi controller setup though

Try vimeo... super dope video quality in HD availabe too... really crisp.

filming this is very difficult actually.
kind of a bummer to position the tripod over the mpc. very difficult.
i did some overhead stuff but it was mostly demonstrating quantize strength and i ended up just showing off the IR beam on the hollowbook
haven't digitized it yet

Any automation you do inside the mpc, or with reaper with filters and stuff would be cool.
