Thanks fellas! God bless Michael Fischer! He's the guy who originally made the set of waves from the 808 that are on the Roland Clan site. Almost every 808 collection I have ever found has at least some of his samples on it. And like you, he shared them for free.

and again I feel like sharing something with the world ;)

here are 3 Hammond-B3 Multisample Instruments, sampled from Native Instruments-B4 Plugin

http://www.megaupload.com/?d=Y8WJUOJD "Reggae"
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=XV5BONS2 "Old Tubes"

You can control the Percussive Clicking sound of the organ by changing the Attack-Time of the Sample (-> q-Link)

These samples use X-Fade-Looping, so they work best with JJ OS2XL.
I'm working on Organ samples, which are looped "normal" and work with every JJ OS. I'll post them when I'm finished :)

1: if you ever layer your beats in DAW instead of on pads, you need them below 0dbfs to avoid clipping when you add them, unless your using a brick-wall limiter on the summing bus...

Most DAWs will let you set the level of every sample, as well as every track that sample is placed in, so your point is Null and Void.

2: when you normalize, you make everything louder, so if your sample is peaking -6db and you normalize it, you have Increased the noise by 6dB as well.

As you would when bringing up the level of the drums to make them fit with other samples that have been normalised/recorded at optimum level.

When recording you should get as close to 0dB on the input as possible, without clipping. Once recorded it's best to normalise to keep all samples at optimum level. Most wave editors work in a higher resolution and bit rate than you will often be saving, and definitely better than the MPC can load. EG very few wave editors work internally at less than 24bit (some 32) and often at 96kHz with oversampling. This means that very little quantise noise will be boosted by normalising straight after recording, but if you then save to 16 bit and normalise you will induce a lot more noise.

Of course if all sample and and processing is taking place on the MPC itself none of this is relevant.

But most of all: Thanks to all for sharing! :D

Thanks man, any luck with the JJOS1 pgms?
