That's the only thing I saw as a plus to the JJ Seq.

My fellow moths come to the light....come...you get a nice mate with a big thorax...

On a serious note I dont know how far he will take the JJ sequencer, but if he adds VST a year from now "GAME OVER"

It's good to see peeps posting more positive things about the JJ sequencer because it's good for JJ's moral. Just give him some more time and backing.

Honestly, I'm just trying to find something possitive to say about the delayed completion of OS2XL (otherwise I'd just give up on JJ ever finishing OS2XL all together) even though so far JJ hasn't showed us any real progress. My last post was me trying to find a reasonable explaination for why JJ's been slacking on the updates (the real updates) for OS2XL. I'm hoping that that JJ is still going to do the right thing and complete OS2XL but like I said in my last post I don't think JJ is thinking about fully completing both the sequencer and the OS (meaning the OS would be left as it is). So I don't want to give you the wrong idea evil A Sulli, I'm not supporting what JJ is doing, I still say he should scrap the sequencer and get back to working on the OS but no matter what anybody says JJ is still going to do what JJ wants to do so we might as well just hope for the best. I just had to clear that up, I wouldn't want anyone to think the sequencer idea is starting to sound good to me

i think purely as a sequencer the MPC even with jjos leaves a lot to be desired.

i was reading about the sequentix P3 yesterday and the sort of things its capable of and its just on a different planet. the thing is, these sort of sequencing features should be pretty simple to develop, all we are talking about is the placement, duration, velocity etc of notes. chord and arp are a tiny step in the right direction, although pretty much useless to be honest

JJ is working on the sequencer so it seems the end of 2XL for now and the foreseeable future. Any updates will just help integration and fix the odd bug. A lot of MPC users can't see the point in the sequencer but it's entirely up to him what he does.

The only thing that might convince him to either add features to OS2 or 2XL is money and time. All this programming takes a lot of time and he needs to be paid for that.

Sending a petition isn't the answer, he's not a politian or a multinational company he can do what he wants! If however, the petition that Sooty G was talking about was changed to a list where everybody on there pledged to pay x amount of money he might see the financial benefit. However, judging by how some people even moan about paying $64 which is roughly £45 I'm not sure how many would sign up.

Collectively we may be able to pledge enough money to make it worth his while.....

Money talks

Hm jj sequencer is a software so if it will be sold it will be cracked anyway and there will be no profit from it (or much less profit than from jjosxl). Does JJ think that anybody will spend so much money for jj sequencer as they did for jj os?? I don' t understand why jj doesn't know that the money is in jj os because its not crackable and if you want to use it you have simply to buy it because there is no other way... If he needs money, why he didn' t focus to finishing jj os and adding new features and sells the update for example for 10$?? I have to say that i would definitly pay 10$ for every major update of jj osxl if i see that there are some new features i like...

So true. I guess he doesn't think hackers don't use MPC's.

I remember hearing talk about cracking the MPC JJ, even tho it can't be done.

So best believe one of them Hacker Goons gonna be all over this. lol

that's exactly what we did. everybody who signed the list was committed to paying at least $15 or more for the potential update. it was made very clear to JJ that we were all willing to pay for improvements to os2.

Who wants to crack something thats free?

Do you think a hater will ever buy your music or any persons music...no.. they copy music or steal people's CD's ....and people still make money on music.

This is speculation:
JJ just made an update for the JJ OS and JJ sequence to work in tandem, so some files wont work in the free version and the sellable cracked version.

The version that works best is the version you are using with the MPC' JJOS XL.

Sooty G

Oh well, if that didn't work I guess we are really are f**ked!

Lets just hope that eventually JJ will gets bored of that funny play school PC sequencer thing and finish off OS2 or XL

pls keep with the jjos updates jj. call it a paid upgrade if you need to but pls work towards a "gold master" of 2XL at least.

i'd co-sign the general murmuring of discontent about the sequencer. who wants to make music on a computer!?! not me.

I honestly don't see why we should be begging JJ and offer him money for an update on JJos2XL. When you receive the email with the password there's a line that says;
Update is no charge
So why should we offer him more money after we already paid for a product, that even if it's better than Akai OS, it still feels unfinished and buggy?

Yep, exactly. Although I don't think the total we pledged came out too impressive, it was like $150 or something right?
