WHOLE option in OS2XL ?

Why would you think you'd need to set 64 individual levels then? The instrument mode works based on spans, so it's like the drum program with 1 sample, but it does something like 16-levels but across any note range you want. Just like you change only the level for the pad with the sample in drum mode, it's the same with instrument, it just gets applied to other pads if you want.

i've been just doing my 1st baby steps into (INSTR) programms and the JJOS2XL

so i have noticed that the pads are set to volume 80 by default and
didn't realised that to change their volume simultaniousely i just need to
change the value of the one pad with the original sample....

i was automatically looking for the (ALL) option .. since i am used to (DRUM) program
and as there is no (ALL) option in (INSTR) mode i got confused and posted the question ....

now its all clear : any edits to one sample affect all pads in (INSTR) program, right?

Not if you use more than 1 sample in your INST program like I normally do. I sometimes might have 16 different samples which I assign ranges to and which therefore span my key range. In this situation you need to manually set the volume for each sample in your INST program, which, like I said, takes about 30 secs for me.

But if you just put 1 sample in your INST program, then yes, you just alter the volume of that sample because it is only that 1 sample which is being spread across your key range.

now gonna experiment with creating my own Rhodes
that I've recentely sampled from a friends real Rhodes Stage piano
just for learning.
wish there would be layers in (INSTR) just like in (DRUM) program,
do that it was possible to have different velocity samples mapped to the same
key zone/s for more realistic playing...

but maybe JJ us working on that ?
