I noticed this too. Just got a cheap second hand 1000 (already have the 2500).
Came with akai os so changed it to 3.12.
Went through install changing certain setting etc and noticed that the pads were doing that too.
Cant recall what screen it's in (am away from desk) but if you set the pad to the same or greater value than the sensitivity this seems to help.
You can also do the opp if you want more control over the rate/speed and pad pressure. I actually thought it was a feature of 3.12!
Would be good for live glitch type ish. I plan on leaving it as is and trying it on live jams!
