so like a q-link transpose or bank type of thing with piles of abilities then? that makes sense to have.

hey... are the features controllable by q-links also midi controllable? or just internally? cause maybe you could add an external controller to the mix as well.

also, if it isn't possible it may be neat to be able to use q-links to assign certain pads to trigger alternate samples similar to the mpc60 with the high hat decay slider.. and that may be neat for live random switching of certain samples.. for example, you have a guitar note recorded but also you have a few sonically different recordings of the same note and you use the slider to manually switch what pad the recorded midi note would in fact trigger.

If you set up some LFO parameters on a few qlinks you can get some amazing sounds going.

you lost me at LFO's... i appreciate it though man i'll try it out. i'm sure they can add something special to my work but i'm also sure there is lots of technical things i don't know. LFO's i have heard of don't get me wrong, but i have never used them.

Get a sound looping on a track and then go into the Qlink assign page (mode pad 1). There's about 20 different things you can assign to each Qlink including filters and pans etc. The LFO options are towards the end. Just make sure you have the assign button pressed if you want to record anything.

I would like to add in my thread, for the most demanding :
replace the functions F1- F6 (in one bar edit) by:
F1 amp ( ADSR * )
F2 filter ( ADSR * )
F3 pitch ( ADSR * )
F4 lfo (ADSR * )
F5 ------
F6 ------

* = or other adjustments for the users

Important:
for each single STEP-sequence ( one bar edit screen )

Ohhhhhhh .

Thanks.

thanks people, played around with the q-link and realised there were things i always wondered about that have now been lain to rest. still don't think i would use the q-link for much though, apart from maybe 'level' and 'pan' during intro's, breaks and such. but LFO's are awesome, for some reason that part of 'program' mode has gone untouched by myself. i remember it not proving fruitful years ago when i was on akai OS and never bothered to revisit it but now i'm seeing the light. will have to do a bit of digging on this forum to reap the full benefits but it seems like it will be worth it.
